  • About the Organizers
  • Department of Textile and Fibre Engineering, IIT Delhi has been actively involved in all areas of textile technology through teaching and research. The faculty members of the Department of Textile and Fibre Engineering, IIT Delhi have been working in the area of technical textiles, which resulted in several products, patents, student projects, and publications in many international journals. As many applications of technical textiles are inter disciplinary in nature, the textile faculty have been working with faculty either from other departments of IIT Delhi or from other institutions of international repute. Several important sponsored projects have been taken up with different funding agents in order to develop new products, test methods, enhance the data base and finally build a base for research and development in the following important areas of technical textiles such as Geotextiles & Geomembranes, Medical Textiles, Protective Textiles, Ropes, Textiles in Advanced Composites, Defence Textiles, Filtration and others.
